Easter Eggstraviganza

I had a 5 day Easter break while the family was on holiday skiing. We had thought about trying to go on another trip, but all the flights were so expensive considering the whole of Europe has holiday then. So, instead we decided to have our own Easter Eggstraviganza weekend here in Basel because a lot of the houses were free for us to stay in and have slumber parties. We relaxed the majority of the time, but had some "events" planned daily as well. One day we went to Augusta Rustica, ancient Roman ruins just outside the city. It was cool, though we went on a day that it kept raining/snowing on and off all day. (The picture with our tongues is us catching snow.) One day we also had a birthday party. It was a joint one for me, Michelle, and Sarah. Though my birthday already passed, we were having a make-up party, since my birthday this year was not the best... day the wallet was stolen :( Anyways, so we had raclette for dinner, dressed up, had ice cream cake, and then had a dance party in Katie's living room!! On Easter Katie and I ran a 20 mile run!! The farthest I've ever run in my life. The marathon is coming sooo soon, April 20th. So after that we had a nice soaking in the hot tub. Since it was Easter, we also had an Easter egg hunt (while we were out, our friends Dana and Erica hid them for us), dyed some eggs, and had a nice dinner. And, since I didn't get a white Christmas, we had a white Easter. It snowed all day on Easter. Sitting in the hot tub with the snow falling on me was really cool. We did a lot of movie watching and lounging on the couches as well. And well, it's a tuff life I lead as an Au Pair, so when the families are gone, we use them for all they got!! (just kidding) Oh, and the last picture there is so you can see how long my hair is getting!!
